Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Pocatello, Idaho. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
As of April 21, 2026, a demolition contractor has been selected for the project. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Pocatello Development Authority is seeking qualified contractors to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and services necessary for the complete demolition and site clearance of the Monarch Building located at 244 W. Center St. in Historic Downtown Pocatello, Idaho. The work includes safely removing the existing structure, capping any existing utilities, shoring up adjacent property walls, and preparing the property for future redevelopment in accordance with applicable laws, codes, and regulations. The building, constructed in 1909 of unreinforced masonry, shares common walls on both sides. The west side is to remain intact, and the east side is to be removed up to the level of the shared wall of the neighboring building. Only firms responding to this Request for Qualifications will be considered, and the selected firm must have extensive experience working on demolition projects in a historic district.
