The Towns of Lyme and Old Lyme (Towns) will accept proposals for the athletic field maintenance at the Town Woods Park. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES A. Provide all labor, products as indicated below, equipment, services, etc., necessary and incidental for the execution of all athletic field and lawn maintenance work maintaining the athletic fields and surrounding lawn areas at the Town Woods Recreation Facility as specified herein. B. Provide all soil testing required as specified herein. C. The Contractor shall be liable for any damage to the athletic fields and Town property caused by landscape maintenance operations and shall restore any damaged fields or property to their original condition to the satisfaction of the Towns' representatives. D. The Contractor shall coordinate his work with the Towns' representative. Question Deadline 12/12/2025 at 4:00 PM ET All questions must be submitted to Parks & Recreation Director, Don Bugbee at parkrec@oldlyme-ct.gov. Questions and answers will be posted online. The Towns of Lyme and Old Lyme reserves the right to select the service provider which best meets the Town's goals and objectives, needs, budget constraints, and quality levels, as well as its service level expectations. The Towns reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any/or all proposals, to waive any irregularities and technical defects contained therein, to award the contract in its entirety, in part or not at all and/or to determine which proposal is the lowest and/or best to enter into a Contract, as it may deem to be in the best interest of the Towns. Award of Contract: The Towns reserve the right to waive any informalities, irregularities, or defects in proposals, to reject any or all proposals, to accept a proposal other than that containing the lowest dollar amount, and to accept a proposal that, in their sole discretion, is in the best interests of the Towns. Termination of Contract: The Towns reserve the right to terminate the contract at any time if the Towns' representatives deem the work responsibilities have either not been adequately fulfilled or are of substandard quality. Termination would take place within seven days of notification by the Towns representatives.
