Sealed bids are requested for a single prime construction contract for a classroom addition to the Irene-Wakonda School. The project consists of constructing a single story, pre-engineered metal building classroom addition of approximately 4,860 square feet, with an alternate bid for a single story, pre-engineered wood saw room addition of approximately 1,250 square feet. The exterior will include metal wall panels, standing seam metal roof, and aluminum doors and windows. The interior will have CMU walls, floor coverings, lay-in ceilings, metal stud walls, wood doors with metal frames, fire barrier walls, and complete mechanical and electrical systems. Construction must be completed no later than December 4, 2026. Proposals must be based on the plans and specifications provided and submitted on the included Bid Form in a sealed envelope clearly marked 'CLASSROOM ADDITION.' Bids must be accompanied by bid security: certified check for 5% or bid bond for 10% of the Base Bid, and a performance and payment bond for 100% of the contract price will be required. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. No bids may be withdrawn until 45 days after the opening.
