Renovation of an educational facility in St Louis, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,821-square-foot educational facility.
1) Procure materials. 2) General Contractor to coordinate and attend weekly meetings during construction and submit meeting minutes within 48 hours of meeting. Flooring supplier must attend all meetings. 3) Attend pre-construction meeting on site and supply client with all pre-construction documents including: insurance, site specific safety plan, bonding, etc. 4) Install safety signage as the school will be active during construction. 5) Install barriers to prevent all dust from entering the school. The installer will be responsible for all cleaning in the school if dust leaves the construction area. Cap all supply and exhaust diffusers. 6) Demolish existing rubber floor. 7) Prepare floor as per flooring manufacturer. Including removal of gymnastics tie downs. Existing badminton and volleyball sockets to remain. 8) Clean all surfaces in the gym (walls, ledges, structure above, etc.) 9) Install acoustical panels. See attached report by Farion. Color (TBD). Samples to be provided by contractor. 10) Install new dimmable LED lighting as per electrical drawings (spec on drawing) 11) Confirm that all high access work has been complete before moving onto the next steps. 12) Install waterproofing as per manufacturers requirements 13) The new floor may be higher than the adjacent rooms. This may require adjustments of the doors. (Undercut doors as required) 14) Install 9+2 Pulastic 110 Classic flooring or equal. 15) Install rubber base. Color TBD 16) Install aluminum thresholds at doors (per flooring supplier's requirements) 17) Paint all lines and Include school logo, as per drawing A1 and A2. Line dimensions and locations to be confirmed through shop drawings process with the flooring supplier. Onsite measurements must be complete before the shop drawing review process. 18) Project must be completed before March 31st, 2026.
