The work consists of construction of approximately 12,610 feet of utility trench and substructures for electric and communications utilities, and other items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the contract, project plans, and technical specifications. Bidders must submit sealed bids and include a bidder's security of at least ten percent of the total bid price. The successful bidder is required to provide executed copies of all required documents within ten working days of receiving the notice of award, which includes payment or labor and materials bonds, a performance bond each in the amount of at least 100 percent of the project contract. All project bonds must be executed by an admitted surety insurer. Bidders may propose equals of products listed in the technical specifications or plans by submitting complete information at least seven working days before the bid opening. The prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations for Sonoma County must be paid.
