The work entails the renovation of an existing former church building for use as the new Board of Education Offices. One bid will be received for all work as described in the contract documents, including General Trades, Electrical, HVAC Mechanical, and Plumbing. The owner will award a single contract for all work in this project. Bidders must furnish all information requested on or accompanying the bid proposal. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked as "BID FOR RENOVATION FOR EAST CLINTON BOARD OFFICES, 57 Cox Road, Sabina, Ohio 45169." Each proposal shall be signed by the full name and business address of each person or company interested in bidding, and shall be accompanied by a surety bond by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, or by a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit from a solvent bank, all in accordance with ORC 153.571. The bid guaranty bond shall be for the full amount of the bid and the certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit shall be equal to a minimum of ten percent (10%) of the submitted proposal and made payable to East Clinton Local School District. Proposals accompanied by certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit will require a subsequent contract performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The proposal must be made on the forms provided in the contract documents or a copy thereof, with a price quoted for the work. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids.
