The Town of Hingham ("Town") Department of Public Works ("DPW"), is seeking written quotes from contractors to provide the Town with tree services, including but not limited to the following: Trimming, removal, dead wooding, crown reduction, stump removal, clean up and emergency work as and when requested by the Town. This is a Prevailing Wage job; Wage Schedule attached. The contract shall not exceed $50,000 upon DPW assignment of work. The work is quoted as "per day" or "per hour." Prevailing Wage will apply to this contract, see wage sheets in Attachments Section. 50% Payment Bond is required from the awarded contractor before execution of contract. A formal contract will be presented by the Town within thirty (30) days from solicitation deadline submission. The award will be to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, determined by the aggregated lowest "per day" and "per hour" pricing. Question Submission Deadline :December 10, 2025, 11:00am. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all quotes as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and waive any minor informalities. This agreement would not obligate the Town to conduct business exclusively with the awarded contractor. The Town reserves the right at its sole discretion to permit another contractor if the tree service can not be met in a reasonable amount of time deemed acceptable by the Town.
