The project is for the clearing and grubbing of the existing ditch area as well as the removal and replacement of existing aggregate parking areas. The work includes demolition of the existing aggregate parking area, installation of a new aggregate parking surface, and all activities related to clearing, grubbing, and site restoration. Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work connected with the program. Guarantee is required with each bid in the form of a certified check or bid bond amounting to five percent of the total bid, payable to the Sebring Airport Authority. The successful bidder must provide separate performance and payment bonds each in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Substantial completion is required within 60 calendar days from the start of contract time, and final completion and acceptance within 90 calendar days. There is no additional time if bid alternative #1 is selected. Award of contract will go to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder whose bid conforms to all requirements. The right is reserved to waive informality or irregularity, reject any or all bids, re-bid the project, award or refrain from awarding, and negotiate with the lowest responsive bidder as beneficial to the Sebring Airport Authority. Proposals must be submitted on provided forms, with all required information, and bidders are responsible for any modifications only as issued by written addendum from the Owner or authorized representative.
