As of December 10, 2025, the procurement program has been cancelled in its entirety and may be re-offered in the near future with modified requirements. In addition, because no award was made for the program, all records related to the procurement will not be available for public inspection. The file will be sealed. State requires engineered plans for a redesign, and a new procurement will be issued in the future. Gloucester County operates a 2 mgd drinking water treatment plant near Beaverdam Reservoir and is responsible for the Spillway Tower and outfall in the reservoir. The project involves some minor repairs to existing infrastructure and the installation of new technologies, as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. The goal is to provide Gloucester County with operational flexibility to continue to effectively and safely meet environmental standards. The work will be completed under one prime contract, and Gloucester County is seeking bids from qualified firms experienced in this type of work. The plans are currently under review by DCR in Richmond, and the County is awaiting the necessary approval letter before issuing a Notice to Proceed or entering into any contract with the selected contractor.
