Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

It is the intent to select a Contractor to remove existing fencing and install new fencing to Field D at Ned Donkle Sports Complex, located at 704 33rd Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. The specifications included herein shall establish the minimum acceptable standards for the work to be performed. The Contractor shall be responsible for: Disassembly and removal of all existing galvanized fencing, posts, and gates. Removal of all material(s) from the work site at the end of each day. Project spoils become the property of the Contractor at the time of removal and must be disposed of properly. A dumpster may be allowed on site during work hours with an assigned location by the Project Manager. Identifying and marking all utility lines (811 System). Installation of approximately 620 feet of 8-foot high and approximately 60 feet of 20-foot high black vinyl coated fencing with posts and top rails on Field D. This fencing will be down both foul lines and outfields of both fields. Priming and painting the backstop and dugout, including all posts and cross bars. (The existing backstop and dugout posts and crossbars will not be removed.) Installation of new mesh on backstops and dugouts. Installation of new 20-foot high foul poles. Installation of one (1) 12-foot long cantilever gate. Fence and Foul Poles to be installed must have the following: The fence ties must be 9-gauge spaced twelve (12) inches apart on the post and top rail. The bottom bands must be 7-gauge. The hog rings must be spaced twelve (12) inches apart. The outfield and dugout fence mesh must be 9-gauge core with 6-gauge, black vinyl finished. The backstop fence mesh must be 6-gauge core, black vinyl finished. Poles must fit in a 4-inch sleeve. Each pole must have a 12-foot by 2-foot wing. Wing must be framed with 1-inch tubing with 1/4 - inch stretch metal. These must be welded together, primed, and painted with yellow Rustoleum paint. No substitutions for paint brand will be accepted. Brand name required to maintain uniformity with existing fencing. Posts and Top Rails to be installed must have the following: All post and top rails must be SS40 Black Powder Coated finished. All posts shall be placed three (3) feet deep in a twelve (12) inch diameter hole. All post holes must be filled with concrete. Backstop Post must be 4-inches long and cross bars must be 2-inches long. Backstop Post must be painted with Black Exterior Paint. All cross bars must be welded to posts. Gates to be installed must have the following: 2 1/2 -inch Line Post 4-inch Corner and Gate Post 12-foot roll gate All gates must be built out of SS40 Pipe and Black Powder Coated *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
