Description

Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Lynden, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The City of Lynden Public Works Department is accepting Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified firms for the Liberty Street Sidewalk Gap Removal project between 17th Street and BC Avenue. There are currently significant sidewalk gaps, and where sidewalk exists it is not ADA-compliant. The project will construct an ADA compliant sidewalk route on the south side of Liberty Street. Work may also include installation of a RRFB crosswalk at the intersection of Liberty Street and BC Avenue. This agreement will be for approximately 5 years. The project will utilize Federal funds. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Information The City of Lynden in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), commits to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability, in all of its programs and activities All prospective consultants must be advised that federally funded projects will be held to Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) requirements. Federal Small Business Enterprises The FSBE for this project is zero (0). The Small Business Enterprise voluntary goal is ten (10) percent. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
