Goochland County, Virginia, is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified and licensed contractors for the construction of the new Whitehall Fire Station #8. The project includes all necessary site development, utilities, and infrastructure improvements, as well as construction of a modern, energy-efficient fire station meeting current codes and standards for fire-rescue operations. The facility will serve as a fully functional Fire-Rescue Station and is expected to include apparatus bays for multiple fire and EMS vehicles, administrative offices, meeting/training rooms, crew living quarters (dormitory-style sleeping areas, kitchen, dayroom, and fitness area), storage and support spaces for fire-rescue equipment and supplies, as well as site improvements such as parking, driveways, stormwater management, landscaping, and utilities. Work must be performed in accordance with engineered drawings and specifications provided by HBA. The contractor must coordinate with the County's project manager, architect, and engineer for full compliance with all design and code requirements. A time-lapse photography system documenting construction progress and final edited video deliverable are required. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and coordination necessary to complete the project according to the approved design documents and specifications. Quality construction, cost control, and schedule adherence are emphasized for timely and efficient project completion. Only firms that have been pre-qualified are eligible to submit bids for this project. Bids from non-pre-qualified firms will not be considered.
