Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Algoma, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Work for Contract A consists of construction of a 500,000-gallon single pedestal spheroid elevated storage tank, site work, and associated work. Bids for Contract A shall be on a Lump Sum Basis. Work for Contract B consists of construction of approximately 1,300 linear feet of 12-inch water main installed by trenching, 200 linear feet of 12-inch water main installed by directional drilling, hydrants, water services, and associated work. Bids for Contract B shall be on a Unit Price Basis. Bids shall be on the forms provided and per the Contract Documents. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. Bidder is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 72 hours of the bid opening. Bidders Proof of Responsibility must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders will be required to provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of bid amount. The Town of Algoma Sanitary District No. 1 reserves the right to reject all bids, without cause, to waive irregularities and informalities, and accept the bid that is in the best interest of the Town of Algoma Sanitary District No. 1.
