Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hume, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in the specifications. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, four new pedestrian bridges with trail restoration and site amenities in the vicinity, located at Genesee Valley Greenway State Park in the towns of Hume and Caneadea. The project limits extend from Minard Road, Village of Rossburg/Town of Hume (Northern Terminus), to State Route 19, Town of Caneadea (Southern Terminus). This is a Federal Aid Project following NYSDOT Standard Specifications. All bids must include the completed Bid Form, Non-Collusive Bidding and Disbarment Certifications, Lobbying Certifications, and the completed DBE Participation Package (summary of DBE commitments, DBE confirmations, and/or good faith effort if required), as well as the Bidder’s List (CONR 80LL) with information about all quotes received from DBE and non-DBE Subcontractors prior to letting. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and be accompanied by a scanned Bid Security in the form of a certified check, bank check, or bid bond in the amount specified. For bids to be considered, the Bidder must be registered with the NYS Department of Labor prior to submitting a bid. Bids from unregistered Contractors shall be declared non-responsive. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The successful bidder and all subcontractors must have an approved CCA-2 on file with NYSDOT prior to contract award. Bidders must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local requirements, including EEO clauses and prevailing wage rates. DBE, MBE, WBE, and SDVOB goals do not apply to this project. Use of the NYSDOT approved civil rights reporting software (EBO) is required for compliance and reporting purposes. Bidders must submit proof of contractor registry as required by NYS Labor Law Article 8. Failure to follow these instructions may result in disqualification.
