This project consists of walking paths with lighting, an amphitheater with seat walls, and an events lawn. Work includes grading, erosion and sediment control as well as utility relocation. Separate sealed bids are requested for the William King Museum of Art Outer Campus Improvements - Area A, which include the specified improvements. Bidders must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia and review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding. Bids must be accompanied by specified bid security. This is a federally assisted project and is subject to compliance with President's Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order 11375, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 109 of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland "Anti-Kickback" Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and Public Law 100-202. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. The contract(s) will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s). The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it appears in its best interest to do so.
