The project consists of constructing a three classroom addition, approximately 4,800 square feet. Work also includes plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. There is an alternate bid to renovate the existing restrooms. Prevailing wages in accordance with Effingham County is required. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Teutopolis CUSD #50. Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price.
