Zone 7 Water Agency desires to hire a qualified and reliable contractor for as-needed plumbing parts and repair services. Question Submission Deadline:December 9, 2025, 12:00pm The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and transportation necessary to complete all work associated with the sewage drain systems, including but not limited to the following tasks: 1. Inspection and Assessment Perform a full inspection of existing sewage drain piping systems, including mains, laterals, sumps, and cleanouts. Identify obstructions, scaling, corrosion, leaks, root intrusion, or structural damage. Provide a written condition report supported by CCTV footage (if applicable). 2. Cleaning and Descaling Mechanically clean drain piping using chain flail cleaning or equivalent high-speed rotary equipment to remove heavy scale, mineral buildup, and hardened deposits. Follow with hydro-jetting or mechanical flushing to clear debris and ensure full pipe flow. Collect and properly dispose of all removed materials in accordance with local environmental regulations. 3. Coating or Sleeving (If Required) Evaluate cleaned sections for internal corrosion, pitting, or wall loss. Where necessary, prepare pipe interiors and apply an approved epoxy or polyurethane coating to restore internal protection and extend service life. Alternatively, install a CIPP (Cured-in-Place Pipe) liner or approved pipe sleeve where structural reinforcement is required. Verify coating/sleeve adhesion and thickness per manufacturer specifications. 4. Repairs and Replacements Repair or replace defective sections, fittings, and joints as identified during inspection. Reconnect all fixtures and drains ensuring correct slope and alignment. Pressure-test repaired or replaced sections to confirm leak-free operation. 5. Associated Work Clean, repair, or replace manholes, cleanouts, and access ports as needed. Seal joints and transitions to prevent infiltration or exfiltration. Restore any disturbed concrete, asphalt, or surface areas to original condition. 6. Safety and Environmental Compliance Follow all OSHA and facility-specific safety requirements. Adhere to confined space entry procedures. Ensure personnel are trained for wastewater environments and equipment operation. Implement spill prevention and control measure 7. Provide emergency response as required, usually within a 2-hr. period. 8. Work should be quoted and approved by the Maintenance supervisor before start of work.
