Renovation of a mixed-use development in Salem, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and qualified supervision to upgrade the HVAC system as specified in the drawings and specifications for Project 658-19-104, Upgrade HVAC System Phase II. The work includes general construction, alterations, selective demolition, and installation of a new mechanical system to heat, cool, ventilate, and exhaust the second floor of Building 143 at the Salem VA Medical Center. The project involves removing five existing air handling units (AHUs) and replacing them with three new AHUs and supporting equipment in the 2H and 2J Specialty Care Clinics. It also includes demolition of all radiant panels throughout the second floor, repair, upgrade, or replacement of ductwork, and installation of all associated components to provide a complete air handling and distribution system with a zoned variable air volume (VAV) system and reheat coils. The contractor must comply with all applicable specifications, safety requirements, and environmental management standards. Period of performance is 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Magnitude of Construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
