Estimated cost is under $75,000. Sealed bids are requested for the demolition projects at the following locations: 1313 Main Street in Gilberton, 120-122 W. Birch Street in Mahanoy City, and 26 S. Main Street in Shenandoah. Separate bids and contracts are required for each project, and each must have its own line item on the bid form. No composite bids will be accepted. An original and two copies of the bid form must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the bidder's name or firm and project details. Bid documents are available electronically at no cost, or as hard copies for a non-refundable fee. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond equal to at least ten percent of the total bid amount. Money orders and personal checks are not acceptable forms of security. Each project will be evaluated individually. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid meeting. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on any single bid in excess of $25,000. The contract includes requirements for prevailing wage rates, nondiscrimination, and participation goals for minorities, women, and disadvantaged businesses. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality.
