Site work for a water / sewer project in Adel, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
This project will include improvements of the City of Adel's Lift Station #18, a three-pump (triplex) submersible sewage pumping station. To replace aging infrastructure and upsize the lift station capacity, a new wetwell complete with pump station components will be installed at the site of the existing pump station next to the existing equipment. The major components to be installed include: pour-in-place concrete wetwell and valve pad, three submersible pumps, guide rails, access hatches, station piping, electrical panel and controls, sanitary sewer manholes, fencing, and a new GAB site pad. Existing equipment will be relied upon for lift station operation during construction. Upon turnover to new equipment, existing structures will be abandoned in place, with pipes cut, capped, and abandoned as indicated on the plans. The contractor will make the necessary connections and disconnections to and from the existing and proposed system. Bypass pumping will be required to make tie-ins to the existing force main. All work must be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications, within 300 consecutive calendar days, and will be awarded in one contract. Bids must be submitted electronically, and a mandatory pre-bid conference is required. Proof of appropriate contractor licensure, bonds, and compliance with immigration and affirmative action requirements are also specified for bidders.
