Site work and paving for a civil project in Nashville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The Nestor Sinkhole Repair project at 130 Nestor Street is designed to restore structural integrity and operational reliability of the facility access area affected by pavement and subgrade failure. The work will be executed in phased sectional repairs to ensure that site operations remain active throughout construction. Mobilization & Traffic Control: Establish staging areas and implement traffic control measures to safely direct vehicle and equipment flow during sectional closures. Sectional Demolition & Excavation: Remove damaged rigid pavement and subgrade in controlled sections. Excavation will proceed in phases to limit disruption and maintain usable access routes. Subgrade Stabilization: Install geogrid reinforcement and geotextile stabilization within each section to strengthen the base and prevent recurrence of settlement. Aggregate & Base Placement: Place and compact mineral aggregate (Type A, Grading D gravel) as structural base material for each phased area. Concrete Pavement Installation: Construct 9" Portland cement concrete pavement with dowels, welded wire mesh, and Sikaflex grout as required. Concrete will be poured and cured by section, maintaining continuous access around work zones. Drainage & Utility Adjustments: Adjust manhole lids and related drainage structures as sectional pavement is restored, ensuring alignment and function. Erosion Control & Surface Treatments: Apply erosion control measures during excavation and backfill. Final work includes painted pavement markings, ensuring a safe and functional surface. Submission of Request to Receive Addenda: December 30, 2025, 1:00pm All work shall be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from the date of mobilization. The contractor's proposed schedule shall reflect this requirement and account for all necessary curing, sequencing, and weather allowances. Bidder must submit a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of their bid with the bid. Prior to contract execution, successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the project bid. Bidders are to submit with their bid a copy of the required TN contractor's licenses for their firm. Question Deadline 12/30/2025 at 1:30 PM CT All questions must be submitted via online. Submissions shall be valid for a minimum period of one hundred twenty days (120) from the date of the opening of the submission. Since the amount of said damages for delay are difficult to determine, the parties agree that the amount of such damages due Nashville MTA for such delay shall be fixed at $940.00 ("Liquidated Damages") for each day after the Term. Contractor agrees to pay Liquidated Damages in said amount and agrees that said Liquidated Damages do not constitute a penalty. Nashville MTA may deduct the amount of the Liquidated Damages from any money due Contractor under the Contract. Nashville MTA shall have the right to pursue the collection of Liquidated Damages as with any other remedy. The Agency(s) reserves the right to cancel this ITB in writing, or postpone, or extend the date and time for submitting bids at any time. The Agency(s) reserve(s) the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any or all informalities or irregularities in the bids received, to request clarifications of the bid from the bidder, to investigate the qualifications and experience of any bidders, to reject any provisions in any bid, to modify proposal contents, to obtain new bids, to negotiate the requested services and contract terms with any bidders. The Agency(s) reserve(s) the right to award the bid for the requested services in full, in part, and/or a single item to one or more bidders. The Agency(s) will determine the most responsive bidder(s) whose bid is most advantageous to the Agency(s).
