Sealed bids are requested for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work necessary for completing the Eskridge Park improvements. The major construction items include: - Creek Bed improvements - Public Bathroom improvements - Playground improvements - Tennis Court improvements Award of contract will be based on the lowest aggregate sum proposal that is in the Owner’s best interest based on available Federal Funding, and only from responsive and responsible bidders. Bidders must bid all items. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities, technicalities, or informalities in the bids received. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with applicable county, state, and federal nondiscrimination, labor standards, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action provisions on public contracts. The project is partially funded by a Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program and is subject to the federal Davis-Bacon Act, Copeland “Anti-Kickback” Act, and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. Wage rates paid for construction work must comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor. This project is also subject to the Build America, Buy America Act, requiring all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used to be produced in the United States, with necessary documentation provided.
