Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Algoma, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Work for Contract A consists of construction of a 500,000-gallon single pedestal spheroid elevated storage tank, site work, and associated work. Work for Contract B consists of construction of approximately 1,300 linear feet of 12-inch water main installed by trenching, 200 linear feet of 12-inch water main installed by directional drilling, hydrants, water services, and associated work. Bids will be received for two single prime contracts, with Contract A on a Lump Sum Basis and Contract B on a Unit Price Basis. Bids shall be on the forms provided and in accordance with the Contract Documents. A certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid must accompany each proposal. The two lowest bidders' deposits may be retained for up to 61 days, during which no bids may be withdrawn. Bidders must submit Proof of Responsibility and provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of the bid amount. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities and informalities, and accept the bid in the best interest of the project.
