The work consists of ground maintenance of areas near the intersection of I-10 and I-49 indicated as Zone 1-4 on the project map. This includes, but is not limited to, grass cutting, litter abatement, weeding around signs and objects, herbiciding, and related tasks. The work will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on a per-zone basis. Each round of work must be completed within the specified timeframe for each respective zone, exclusive of delays beyond the contractor's control, starting from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted either electronically or at the office specified. Bidders must be registered as potential suppliers. Required with each bid is a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check for five percent (5%) of the base bid plus additive alternates. Bids must be signed with a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority. The successful contractor must execute performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. All bids must be submitted on the provided bid form, and proper licensing under specified classifications is required. The participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) is strongly encouraged.
