The bid and the deposit shall be filed with the Public Works Department, securely sealed, and endorsed on the outside with a brief statement as to the nature of the item or work for which the bid is provided. Upon a bid award, such bond shall be returned to the unsuccessful bidder(s). In the case of the successful bidder, the bid bond will be returned upon receipt of the required payment and performance bonds, each in the full amount of the contract price.
