The City of Mesa is seeking a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide Pre-Construction Services and complete Construction Services as the CMAR for the Idea Museum Renovations - Phase 2 project. This project is Phase 2 of renovations at the i.d.e.a. Museum campus. The renovations will upgrade existing and create new spaces to expand and enhance the public experience. The scope of the project may include: o Remodeling and expanding existing building; o New buildings; o ADA improvements; o On-site and off-site utility improvements; o Mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades; o Indoor climbing structures and/or play features and skywalk; o Addition of a roof top terrace; o Drainage and landscape improvements; o Site lighting control system; o Parking lot, frontage and overall site improvements; o Permanent and semi-permanent artistic exhibit features and elements; o Phased construction to minimize closure times; o City may include other miscellaneous improvements at the Site, as needed. The estimated construction cost is $8,000,000 to 9,000,000. The City anticipates beginning construction early 2027.
