This materials procurement scope consists of the furnishing of all 42-inch Restrained Joint Water Main Piping and Fittings for the Phase 2, Minnesota Avenue, From 2nd Street to 7th Street Reconstruction Project for the City of Sioux Falls. All materials must arrive at the project site on or after March 30, 2026, and no later than June 1, 2026. Liquidated damages, as specified in Section 8 of the City of Sioux Falls General Conditions for Public Improvements, will be charged for failure to deliver the materials on or before the contract delivery date of June 1, 2026. The intent of the following specifications and notes is to describe, in sufficient detail, the 42- inch Restrained Joint Water Main Piping and Fittings. All parts and incidentals not specifically mentioned, including, but not limited to gaskets and bolts, which are necessary in order to provide the 42-inch Restrained Joint Water Main Piping, Fittings, and Valve shall be included in the bid and shall conform to the City of Sioux Falls Supplemental Standard Specifications for Water Main Construction. Delivery, unloading, and storage, including schedule and location for the 42-inch Piping Materials procured will be coordinated by the Construction Contractor of the project associated with these procured materials. The cost for delivery to Sioux Falls at a site designated by the Construction Contractor is to be included in the furnished price of the 42- inch Piping and Fittings being procured. Award of the Construction Contract to a Contractor is anticipated to be in late February or early March of 2026.
