The project includes the rehabilitation of a parking lot at the intersection of E Third St. and S Smith Ave. and a parking lot at 611 W Main St in Gentry, Arkansas. The rehabilitation scope includes the regrading of the existing gravel lots, concrete and asphalt paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, landscaping, lighting, benches, and minor drainage improvements. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to City of Gentry in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The attention of the Bidder is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract. All qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises are encouraged to bid on and receive contracts, and general contractors are encouraged to subcontract portions of their contract to these enterprises. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, and postpone the award of the Contract for up to 90 days from the bid opening date.
