Site work and renovation of a civil project in Arkansas City, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project; and one-story above grade water / sewer project.
This includes two projects: Sandblasting, cleaning, and coating of the existing below the water line basin equipment in Phase IV Primary basin No. 8 and Phase IV Final Basin No. 5. Existing stainless-steel squeegees installed on the rake arm sweeps in both basins are to be removed prior to sandblasting and painting, with new stainless-steel squeegees and hardware installed following painting completion. Existing weir plates in Phase IV Primary Basin No. 8 are to be removed prior to sandblasting and painting, and new fiberglass weir plates are to be fabricated and installed after coating is completed. Launder trough adjuster bolts on both basins are to be replaced with stainless-steel hardware. The contractor is responsible for containing all dust, debris, blast media, and airborne coatings within the designated work area, minimizing overspray, and protecting surrounding equipment and buildings. Any overspray on buildings, company and personnel vehicles must be remediated by the contractor. The second project involves interior sandblasting, cleaning, and coating of the existing 400,000-gallon South Wash Water Tank.
