The Corporation of the City of St. Catharines is inviting tenders for the supply and delivery of all labour, equipment and materials necessary for the rehabilitation of Niagara Street Pedestrian Bridge (ID No. BR048), and the replacement of Walkers Creek Park Pedestrian Bridge (North, ID No. BR073) and Walkers Creek Park Pedestrian Bridge (South, ID No. BR520), as further described in the RFT document. The work of this project includes the following: Niagara Street Pedestrian Bridge (ID No. BR048) o Supply and installation of new steel 'I' beam girders and components as indicated on the contract drawings. Walkers Creek Pedestrian Bridge (North, ID No. BR073) o Removal of existing structure and components as indicated on the contract drawings. o Removal, support, and replacement of a portion of the existing sanitary pipe along the south side of the structure. Removal and replacement of the concrete maintenance hole located at the southeast corner of the structure. o Installation of a new weathering steel truss bridge with timber deck with concrete caissons and concrete abutments. Walkers Creek Pedestrian Bridge (South, ID No. BR520) o Removal of existing structure and components as indicated on the contract drawings. o Removal, support, and replacement of a portion of the existing sanitary pipe along the south side of the structure. o Removal and replacement of the existing end unit of the concrete storm pipe and headwall at the northwest corner of the structure. o Installation of a new weathering steel truss bridge with timber deck with concrete caissons and concrete abutments. o Removal and replacement of the asphalt paved pedestrian pathway west of the structure. All tenders must be accompanied by digital Agreement to Bond and digital Bid Bond in the amount of $40,000.00 payable to The Corporation of the City of St. Catharines.
