The City of Miramar, Florida ("City") is soliciting requests for quotes from a qualified contractor to furnish equipment and labor for the Ansin Park Sports Complex A/C Ductwork Reinsulating Relining Project. Ansin Park Sports Complex. The work includes inspecting, repairing, and replacing existing duct insulation, as well as sealing leaks and adding acoustic or thermal insulation where needed. 1. Assessment and Preparation o Inspect the entire duct system, including any accessible areas in attics, crawlspaces, or basements. o Identify areas needing repairs or replacement, such as damaged sections, excessive bend, or sagging duct runs. o Prepare duct surfaces by cleaning them to ensure proper adhesion of sealants and tapes. 2. Repair and Replacement o Repair or replace damaged duct air duct insulation sections with 2.2" 3/4 FSK duct wrap insulation. o Replace correct bends and secure unsupported duct runs with proper hangers. o Replace old insulation where needed, ensuring the new insulation meets the R-value and has a complete vapor retarder. 3. Sealing o Apply a sealant (like a water-based mastic) or foil/mastic tape to all accessible joints and connections. o Ensure all sealants meet required standards. 4. Relining with Insulation o Install new thermal or acoustic insulation, depending on the project's needs. o Wrap ductwork with insulation materials like fiberglass, foam, or reflective sheets and seal all joints with appropriate tape. 5. Coordination o Project will be completed in multiple phases to minimize disruption to operations. 1. The Work shall commence after the Successful Contractor has been notified by the City, but within ten (10) business days after receipt of the purchase order. All work must be done after normal business hours - Monday through Friday from (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.) with minimal work hours of 10 hours per day. After hours and or on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) work is allowed but requires written approval from the city two (2) weeks in advance. 2. Contractor will be given up to 6 weeks to complete project.
