Site work for a water / sewer project in Seward, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
**As of January 21st, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work consists of constructing a new public water main north of Walker Road by boring a 30-inch by 90-foot casing pipe below the existing railroad (BNSF Railway) that parallels Walker Road. The project also includes approximately 173 feet of 16-inch water main and site restoration, which involves minor grading and paving around new water valves along with the placement of new gravel surfacing on Walker Road. Proposals are required to cover all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the entire project as per the plans and specifications. Contractors must submit proposals based on unit prices as an aggregate bid and include contractor qualifications as described under Instruction to Bidders, Article 3. All proposals must use forms supplied by the Engineer and include Bid Security of not less than 5% of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Seward as liquidated damages if the contract is not entered into or the bond is not provided as required. No proposals may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five days after the bid opening. The awarding authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
