Sealed proposals are invited for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project known as HOC-CR 174-00.30. Bidders must submit their proposals using the prescribed forms, ensuring all bid price blanks are filled in with ink or typewritten. Each bid should be sealed in an envelope showing the bidder's name, address, and the project name on the outside. Proposals must include a bid security, either as a Bid Bond in the full bid amount or a certified/cashier's check for 10% of the bid, with both the Hocking County Commissioners and ODOT named as obligees. Full names of all interested parties and a complete list of subcontractors must be included. Bidders must be prequalified through ODOT and provide evidence of experience with similar projects of comparable size and complexity. The project has an EDGE goal of 5%. All contractors and subcontractors should use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor wherever practical, and must comply with equal employment opportunity requirements and prevailing wage rates as set by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. The Hocking County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids. Plans and specifications may be obtained from the Hocking County Engineer's office or website. The contract documents include plans, general notes, special and supplementary conditions, bid and bond forms, wage rates, and general and supplementary conditions. The Owner may require bidders to provide further information to determine their qualifications to perform the work.
