The Char House was constructed in 1925 by the Imperial Sugar Company. The City of Sugar Land seeks a Construction Manager-At-Risk (CMAR) to work with a historic preservation architect to design the replacement of the roof, windows, ventilation, electrical and limited structural repairs. The CMAR should have verifiable experience in historical building preservation, working with architects to implement replacement of these items on similar size projects. This building is a historical building and work must be completed to retain the historical value of the building. The successful Respondent shall provide the following scope of services: Previous experience with roof replacement, window replacement, ventilation, electrical, signage and structural repairs associated with mothballing or preservation work on historical buildings of similar construction type to the Char House or similar era buildings.
