As of February 17, 2026, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. Palestine Township and the Palestine Township Road District (collectively, the "Township") will accept sealed proposals for the construction of a new building to be built on their property . Any successful bid will be awarded based upon the scoring matrix contained within the RFP. In accordance with 820 ILCS 130/3 and 130/5, and elsewhere under Illinois law, this contract is subject to all of the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, is subject to the payment of prevailing wages and the Contractor is required to submit monthly certified payroll records and otherwise comply with said Act The Township reserves the exclusive right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive technicalities and irregularities in any or all bids. The Township, at its discretion, may request a final interview of the top scoring proposals before making their final selection and awarding the project. Bids may be held for a period of up to sixty (60) days.
