Site work and new construction of a library in West Palm Beach, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 150,000-square-foot, two-story above grade library.
Construction of a new Main Library to house the support services currently located at the Annex and feature a large meeting and event space. The existing building will remain operational during construction and will be demolished once the new building is complete. TIMELINE: As of September 11, 2026, the project is conceptual and included in the County's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This project is also included in the Library Expansion plan III which will financed by General Obligation Bonds. If approved on November 3rd, the bond funds will be distributed across approximately twelve renovation projects and the new Main Library. Next update may be available in late 2026.
