Bids are requested for furnishing and delivering MDOT 22A or 22A modified gravel to specified locations for local road projects in various townships. The projects are pending township approval and funding. Gravel must be hauled in V-bottom trailers with a minimum of four sets; more than four sets require approval from the Road Commission. Bidders must specify pit location and inspect the site to determine conditions. Measurement and payment will be per ton, based on weight tickets from certified platform scales. Bids should be in accordance with specifications obtainable from the road commission office and submitted on provided forms in sealed envelopes clearly marked as to their contents. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive defects, and accept the bid considered in the best interests of the Clare County Road Commission. Bid unit prices may be renewed for up to three years if mutually agreed upon. Extensions may also apply to other local municipalities and adjacent counties.
