Sealed proposals are requested for Contract HS-C1 – Civil and Site Work related to turf fields at Syosset High School. Bids must be submitted on the standard proposal form as designated in the specifications, enclosed in sealed opaque envelopes with the job name, bidder’s name and address, and clearly marked with the bid name and opening date. Each proposal must include a certified check or bid bond payable to the "Syosset Central School District" in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid as a commitment to enter into a contract and provide required security for performance. Certification of the bonding company is required. Bidders are required to hold their bid prices for forty-five (45) days following the bid opening, except as otherwise permitted. Only Contract Documents obtained via the designated provider REVplans (melville.h2mplanroom.com) will be recognized as valid for bidding. Bid addenda will be distributed to registered plan holders via email and the specified website. Bidders choosing hard copies are responsible for coordinating with the printer for documents or addenda and covering any related costs. It is highly recommended, though not mandatory, that bidders attend the scheduled pre-bid conference and walkthrough at Syosset High School. The Board intends to award the contract to the lowest qualified bidder who meets experience, technical, and budget requirements but reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in the process. The Board will accept the bid which, in its opinion, best serves the interests of the School District.
