The purpose of this project is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to perform concrete repairs within a designated parking lot area where previous utility modifications (e.g., water, sewer, electrical, telecom) have resulted in surface disruption. The Contractor shall restore all affected areas to a condition equal to or better than the existing pavement. Contractor shall be responsible for verification of all quantities. Contractor shall include schedule with bid submittal and provide a list of similar projects (three minimum) with references. The contractor shall perform the following: Removal and Preparation: Saw-cut existing asphalt or concrete pavement in neat, straight lines around damaged or utility-modified areas. Remove all loose material, debris, and unsuitable subgrade. Excavate to required depth to expose utility modifications and prepare for new concrete placement. Protect adjacent pavement, utilities, and structures during construction. Coordinate with local business owners on work schedules to minimize disruption prior to commencing work. Subgrade and Base Material: Compact subgrade to a minimum of 95% Standard Proctor density. Install a minimum 4-inch crushed aggregate base, compacted to 95% density, unless otherwise specified. Verify grade and elevations to ensure proper drainage to existing slopes. Concrete Work Supply and install 4" thick Portland Cement Concrete pavement (PCC), Class A at 3000 psi, meeting ASTM C94. Fiber-reinforced Standard broom finish with tooled joints. Provide control joints at 10-12 ft spacing Install 1/2 " pre-molded expansion material at utility boxes, curbs, or other fixed structures. Traffic Control Provide all traffic control, signage, cones, and barricades per MUTCD standards. Maintain safe pedestrian and vehicle access throughout the project duration. Clean Up & Restoration Remove debris, excess materials, and construction waste from the site daily. Restore adjacent asphalt, striping, markers, or site furnishings disturbed by construction. Leave the area in clean, ready-for-use condition. Bid Specifications Project Title: Gallatin Alleyway Repair Contract No Utilities The Contractor shall be fully responsible for identifying, locating, and verifying all underground and above-ground utilities within the project limits prior to commencing any excavation or construction activities. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating with local utility providers, calling the appropriate "One-Call" service, reviewing available utility records, and performing additional field investigations as needed. The Contractor shall take all necessary measures to protect existing utilities and shall immediately report any discrepancies or unknown utilities encountered during the work. All costs associated with utility identification and coordination shall be included in the Contractor's proposal. Project timeline is scheduled from award until 3/31/2026. Last invoice shall be received by 4/15/2026. Bid Note:Vendors must guarantee that all information included in the proposal will remain valid for a period of at least 90 days from the date of proposal opening to allow for evaluation of all proposals. All questions, including any follow up questions, must be received by December 30, 2025. All inquiries to proposals will be posted on December 31, 2025, on the Sumner County website at Online under "Request for Proposal (RFP)" a minimum of 5 days before the proposal "deadline". Sumner County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals for any reason. Proposals will be awarded to the best overall respondent as determined by that which is in the best interests of Sumner County. Any award is subject to Sumner County being capable and willing to agree to all terms and conditions on all contract(s) and amendment(s) provided by the vendor.
