Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in State Center, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; for the addition of a fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The work includes renovation of the existing fire station and construction of a new addition. Tasks will involve site improvements, new utility connections, and removal and replacement of paving. The renovation will update the interior and exterior of the existing building to convert it into administrative and training spaces. The new addition will provide a fire apparatus garage and a connector linking it to the existing structure. Bid Proposals must be accompanied by a bid security of five percent (5%) from bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the same amount. The bid security shall be provided to the City Of State Center as security that if the bidder is awarded the contract, the bidder will enter into a contract on the form provided by the City of State Center at the price bid and shall furnish the required performance bond, payment bond, and Certificate Of Insurance. If the bidder fails to execute the contract and to furnish an acceptable performance bond, payment bond or Certificate Of Insurance within ten (10) days after acceptance Of the bid, the bid security may be forfeited or cashed by the City of State Center as liquidated damages. The Project site will be available to commence work starting on February 2, 2026. The project shall be substantially complete by October 30, 2026, with final completion on or before November 20, 2026.
