Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Newport Beach, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and road / highway.
The work necessary for the completion of this contract consists of the following: o Distributing door hanger notifications o Placing "No Parking" signs and traffic control o Saw cutting and removing concrete sidewalks, parkways, driveways, access ramps, cross gutters, curbs and gutters o Constructing new concrete sidewalks, parkways, driveways, access ramps, cross gutters, curbs and gutters (utilizing pump if necessary) o Patching areas of concrete curb and gutter and sidewalk o Protecting in place existing grade and subgrade of all concrete work o Restoring private improvements o Restoring survey markers damaged or displaced by the work o Painting curb face and tops red where applicable o Installing grass turf as necessary to match existing private grass turf o Providing temporary access during construction o And other incidental items to complete work in place as required by the Contact Documents No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All of the Work to be performed and materials to be furnished shall be in strict accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents. Contractor is required to perform all activities, at no extra cost to City, which are reasonably inferable from the Contract Documents as being necessary to produce the intended results.
