Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in East Berlin, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Online sealed bids for the construction of "Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion" will be received by East Berlin Area Joint Authority via the PennBid Program. Bids will be received for General Construction and Electrical Construction. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at no cost at the specified website. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents must be submitted via PennBid's Public Q&A section; no questions accepted by phone, fax, or direct e-mail. Each bidder must deposit with the bid security in the amount of ten percent of the bid, subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The work constitutes Public Works by a Public Body under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and prevailing minimum wage rates must be paid as incorporated in the Contract Documents. All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty days after the opening unless an award is delayed for specified government approvals, in which case, bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty days.
