Demolition and new construction of a museum in Petersburg, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade museum; and one-story above grade museum.
The project work includes: demolition of the existing log barn structure and connected livestock pens; salvage of stone and window hardware for reuse. Salvage of select logs to go to the Client Agency. Construction of a new log barn and livestock pens with a new concrete foundation with salvaged and new stone facing. The new building will have new wood doors and windows and a new cedar shake roof. New wood plank flooring is to be installed at select first floor locations and in the loft. Demolish and construct building at Lincoln's New Salem Historic Site, Menard County. MBE/WBE subcontracting and supplier goals apply. Plans available from Eastern Engineering. Single trade delivery method. Special instruction: PLA applicable.
