Description

Renovation of a detention facility in Martinez, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The project involves the upgrade and full integration of Security Surveillance Video and Door Control Systems at the Juvenile Hall located at 202 Glacier Drive, Martinez, CA 94553. The new systems must comply with the 2025 California Building Code, Title 15, Title 22, Title 24, and Contra Costa County Building Design and Construction Guidelines. The Design-Build Entity will be responsible for designing and building a comprehensive, turn-key, and state-of-the-art Security Surveillance Video Camera and Door Control System based on Avigilon Unity Video or an equivalent for video surveillance. The access control (door control) system must be open and non-proprietary, meeting operational, security, and integration requirements of the facility, and new Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) are required. Interested firms are required to confirm the overall vision with County stakeholders. The estimated project construction cost, including fees and allowances, is approximately $5,378,000.
