Renovation of a detention facility in Laredo, Texas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Webb County (County) hereby issues this Formal Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to seek qualified Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering firms to provide professional engineering services for design development, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration for the replacement of multiple HVAC air handler units at the Webb County Jail facility. All services shall be performed in accordance with applicable Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS) Facility Standards and pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code; Chapter 2254 (Professional Services Procurement Act) Question Deadline 12/19/2025 at 5:00 PM CT WEBB COUNTY reserves the right to reject any and all RFQ, to waive informalities in the RFQ process, or to terminate the RFQ process at any time, if deemed in the best interest for WEBB COUNTY. In addition, WEBB COUNTY shall not, under any circumstances, be bound by or be liable for any obligations with respect to this public solicitation until such time (if at all) a professional service agreement has been awarded and all approvals obtained in form and substance satisfactory to WEBB COUNTY, authorized by the WEBB COUNTY Commissioners Court, and then only to the extent of such fully executed terms and conditions.
