The project is expected to be awarded on February 2,2026.** The work consists of removal and replacement of curb, gutter, sidewalk, and ADA ramps to the form and dimensions indicated and as specified in the appendix of the Special Provisions. The scope includes furnishing all products, equipment, materials, and labor required to demolish and remove sidewalks, curb, gutter, and to install new curb, gutter, sidewalk, and ADA ramps per the Contract Documents and as shown in the Project Plans and described in the Project Specifications. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids, possess a valid California contractor's license (Class A General Engineering or C-8 Concrete Contractor), provide bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, and comply with prevailing wage requirements. Each subcontractor must be registered with the DIR. Bidders must submit a completed Subcontractor List form, and the successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price. Additional instructions and details are provided in the Contract Documents and Special Provisions The Project is located at the local streets bounded by PG&E high-voltage power lines, Contra Costa Canal, Harbor Street, and Buchannan Road, and is described as follows: removal and replacement of curb, gutter, sidewalk, ADA ramps to the form and dimensions indicated and as specified in the appendix of the Special Provisions. The scope of work includes but is not necessarily limited to; furnishing all products, equipment, materials, and labor required to demolish and remove sidewalks, curb, gutter, installation of new curb, gutter, sidewalk, and ADA ramps per the Contract Documents and as shown in the Project Plans and described in the Project Specifications. 2.2 Time for Final Completion. The Project must be fully completed within 60 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about March 9, 2026, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. 2.3 Estimated Cost. The estimated construction cost for the base bid and all additive alternates is $360,000 Question Deadline 01/01/2026 Questions or requests for clarifications regarding the Project, the bid procedures, or any of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing to Savon Reese, Associate Engineer, at sreese@pittsburgca.gov. Oral responses are not authorized and are not binding on the City. Bidders should submit any such written inquiries at least five Working Days before the scheduled bid opening.
