The project includes installation of 104 linear feet of 8-inch and 10-inch diameter PVC sanitary sewerline to replace an existing sanitary sewerline on Seneca Creek Road west of Transit Road. This work shall be inclusive of 2 new manholes, cleanouts, lateral and forcemain reconnections, abandonment of existing sewer, restoration of pavement, curb, driveways, and lawn. Work shall include management of sanitary flows and maintenance and protection of traffic, and all associated appurtenant work. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid meeting. The project consists of sanitary sewer replacement on Seneca Creek Road at Transit Road, in front of the Mayer Brothers facility. The existing sewerline is undersized, very deteriorated and very shallow. Flows from the Mayer Brothers facility are significant. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and to particularly look at the manhole proposed for replacement. o The scope of work consists of the following: o Installation of approx. 63 linear feet (LF) of 10-inch diameter PVC sanitary sewerline, o Installation of approx. 41 LF of 8-inch diameter PVC sanitary sewerline, o Installation one (1) 4-foot diameter doghouse manhole, o Installation of one (1) 4-foot diameter standard manhole, o Installation of one (1) 8-inch diameter end of line cleanout, o Re-instatement/reinstallation of lateral and forcemain connections and install of private cleanout o Handling and disposal of asbestos pipe at downstream connection, o Abandonment of existing 6-inch diameter sewerline and manholes, o Restoration including pavement, curb, driveway apron, lawn o Management of sanitary flows, and o Maintenance and protection of traffic In accordance with Erie County Local Law No. 6, 1987 and Local Law No. 5- 1, 2023, this contract will be subject to 10% MBE, 2% WBE, and 6% SDVOB subcontractor participation unless the contractor is issued a waiver by the County EEO office The project has minority and womens workforce goals of 13.2% minority manpower and 6.9% women in construction, respectively.
