This Section includes minimum requirements for materials, storage, handling, installation, inspection, and testing of new water service lines, curb stops (water service shutoff valves), curb stop boxes, and decommissioning of existing lead and/or galvanized iron water service lines (LSLs). Furnish all materials, equipment, labor and workforce, supervision, requirements for safety, and all other expenses required for satisfactory performance of all Work. A full list of addresses with LSLs are included in the Contract Documents. Where entry into premises is needed, the City will obtain written permission from property owners and/or residents. B. In general, Work will consist of following: 1. Shop Drawing submittal and review. 2. Submitting and maintaining a project schedule. 3. Traffic control per applicable standards as needed. 4. Mobilize crew and equipment to and from work sites. 5. Staging of work area and related site security, environmental, and safety controls. 6. Coordination, notification, and scheduling Work with property owners, residents, and City staff for access into private businesses, homes, and other structures as needed. 7. Removal of pavement, concrete, earth, and other material as required to perform the Work. 8. Excavations shall be made at each property. Large open trenches spanning multiple properties or other large excavations are not allowed. 9. Existing curbs and gutters shall be kept intact and be protected.
