This project consists of the demolition of existing concrete sidewalk, construction of seven high visibility crosswalks at various locations including ramps, pavement marking, signs, truncated domes, and associated items. Separate sealed Bids for the Installation of High Visibility Crosswalks for the Town of Wise, Virginia, which consists of the demolition of existing concrete sidewalk, construction of seven high visibility crosswalks at various locations including ramps, pavement marking, signs, truncated domes, and associated items, will be received electronically online. Bids must be accompanied by bid security as specified. Each bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia prior to the execution of the Agreement and must be a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Pre-Qualified Contractor. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to submit bids. The contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s). The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it appears in its best interest.
