Sealed bids are invited for various highway and roadway construction, maintenance, repair, and new construction projects at multiple locations throughout New York State. Projects include bridge washing, regional bridge washing, highway pedestrian safety improvements, pedestrian safety improvements, highway resurfacing, pavement resurfacing, pavement preventative maintenance, retaining wall improvement, bridge rail replacement, intersection improvements, and bridge painting. The contracts may be contingent upon budget appropriation by the State Legislature and Governor. Bids must include a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier's check for 5% of the bid amount. Bidders must use specified forms for bonds and those submitting electronically must include electronic bonds. The contractor is responsible for incorporating all posted amendments into their bid. To receive notification of amendments by email, bidders must request placement on the Planholders List. Amendments may have been issued prior to placement. Communication is restricted to designated persons; contacting non-designated persons may result in disqualification. Project-related technical questions must be submitted through the NYSDOT website. All bidders and subcontractors are recommended to have an active EBO account for Civil Rights reporting compliance. For Federal Aid projects, bidders must submit DBE Commitments with their bids. Disadvantaged business enterprises will be given full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or income status.
